Exhibition Time Again

What a coincidence!

Once again, I will have art pieces in two exhibitions at once!

I have recently hung some of my watercolors and acrylic pieces at the Fayetteville Lincoln County Art League in Fayetteville, Tennessee. The Art League is under new management and changes are process. I am pleased to be a part of the changes and I am eager to help. My pieces will be up through November, I believe and I will be changing out artwork during the month of December. At least, that is the plan for now.

I am excited about the plans for the FLCAL coming up after the New Year. We will be scheduling art classes in a variety of media throughout the spring. We will be kicking off the series with a Day of Exploration in Art. People will be free to come in for hands-on mini classes in watercolor, oils, etc. and see if that is something they would be interested in. If so, they can sign up for a full class in that particular activity being offered during the Spring.

One day will be devoted to introducing visual arts and techniques. Another day is being planned to showcase other artistic areas of interest, possibly writing, songwriting and music. Details are not finalized yet but I am excited to be a part of this new endeavor. I have not decided what my class(es) will be. I am certainly open to doing calligraphy, paper sculpture or even quilling but I am willing to do whatever the consensus may decide.

But I digress. Did I mention it is Exhibition Time?

The other exhibition I am a part of is the Nashville Calligraphers Guild exhibition at Green Hills Library in Nashville, Tennessee. Pieces from Guild members will be on display through the month of November. I have several pieces that I am debating on, as there are display cases available for smaller objects such as books and other small items. Of course, this exhibition is all about the calligraphy so I will be going through my pieces to see what else I can frame in time. I would like to have something new in the show.

I have been doing calligraphy, just not pieces for exhibition. I spent the month of September working on my….I digress again. Besides, what I was working on so intently is a secret at this point. Should circumstances turn out as I hope, I will have an announcement in January.
