The Lord’s Prayer

The Lord's Prayer

I recently was able to take part in Reggie Ezell’s year long “Primitive to Modern” workshops, learning how to prepare vellum for writing and how to gild on vellum.

I learned so much from those two classes and I really wish I could have taken more but time did not permit this year.

I did manage to finish a piece, The Lord’s Prayer. The finished area is 3″x5″. I have not yet decided how I want to frame it, whether I want to crop it or leave the edges as they are or just what.

Reggie asked me to write about the process and it was put in his pic of the week. I think I was a little bit too detailed!

Here is the link to read the article and see the picture he took. I think the piece may have been curved a little (vellum does that, I have learned!) so that it looks like the ink is not all black but it is. There are no grays.
